About the Project

Jewels of India is a youth-led initiative focused on bringing the rich art and culture of tribal communities to the Indian mainstream without the involvement of exploitative intermediaries. By foregrounding the artistic practices at the center of the identity of tribal groups, this project aims to create avenues that allow artisans to showcase their work directly and receive fair recognition and compensation for their talents. 

Through an amalgamation of efforts to raise awareness about Indigenous art forms through educational resources, financial assistance, and creative collaborations, Jewels of India hopes to act as a connecting network between traditional craftsmanship and modern-day audiences, thereby taking the first step to preserve Indian art forms in a way that is meaningful, supportive, and sustainable.
